Full video Transcription: No matter what other people are telling you, that you cannot do this. Just do it. Hi guys im Chef Don Infante i am the Executive Chef and School Director of La Flamme Bleue center of Culinary Arts, i was looking for a way to share my knowledge to the people because that is what J1 was for, sharing knowledge what we have learned in the US. I went back home to Iloilo i told my mum in a month i would be going to start a job in a cruise ship and then jokingly i told her "Bakit hindi nalang tayo magpatayo ng Culinary school dito sa Iloilo para di na ko umalis" and that was just jokingly. A while after that i went back to Pampanga and then she called me all of a sudden and told me "Sige anak gawin natin un", i was surprised as it was just a joke and then now La Flamme Bleue was born. All of the things that made La Flamme Bleue what it is today is im proud to say came from my hardwork. One thing that i Yung kapatid ko na babae na kahit hanggang ngayon na matanda na kami, she always requesting for that one dish na niluto ko na experiment lang, kaya pag nagkikita kami sinasabihan parin nya ako na “kuya pwede mo ba ko lutuan nung ginawa mo dati?” So yun yung mga tumatatak na mga bagay sakin why i want to become a chef because she is always requesting for that one dish that i always yung mga niluluto kong pagkain tumatatak sa mga tao and that is one thing na pwede kong iwan sa mga tao sa mga students ko ngayon dito sa la flamme bleue. why i want to become a chef because ... When i was in the US i can say that It wasn’t really difficult for me kasi nag-enjoy ako, sobranh nag-enjoy ako na i didn’t consider it as work it was very fun for me the US experience made me who i am today i thank god that i came back. I was even planning to change my visa back then when it was still legal I'm glad that i came back because if i didnt La Flamme Bleue was not going to be here. I want the students to be internationally ready when they go to the US or anywhere in the world, i want that when they go to a restaurant or work for a restaurant abroad the people would ask them, "where are you from, why are you this good?" and i want them to tell them its because they are from La Flamme Bleue. We chose Tuguegarao specifically because there was no culinary school here or anywhere near here. The people from Tuguegarao actually are very interested in food and thats what we need initially when you are putting a culinary school somewhere. You need to find people that are very interested when it comes to food because thats going to be where the passion is going to start, so thats why we chose Tuguegarao. So for those people who want to have a career in the Culinary Arts its never too late to start. Take me for instancena paranh ang late ko naman nag-start but No You can still make a difference if you put your heart and soul into it, if it is your passion just pursue it. My only regret is that i didnt do it any sooner, nevertheless it was just the perfect timing for me because if i had started early maybe La Flamme Bleue wouldnt be here, so if you have the passion, if you want to do it, just do it!
